Vanessa Heissler (Bool de Gomme). And I'm the admin of this website :-)
- Where do you come from ?
I’m French, and I live near Strasbourg, in Alsace.
- Are old are you ?
I’m 42. But in my head, I’m very youngest ;-)
- When did you know FATAL SMILE ?
A friend of me saw them in 2009 in Mulhouse (tour with Lordi) and told to my husband and me that it was a great band ! So, we have listened to “World Domination” and thought that yes : good music !My husband listened to them time to time but I never really threw an ear on it, even though I thought it was very pleasant. It's when I heard “21th Century Freaks”, last year, that I felt in love with this band ! Totally. And since then, I became one of their biggest fan !! :-)
- Which album is your favorite ?
I think that the 4 albums are very good, and we can see the progression between the first to the last. But it’s hard for me to choose just one because both of the last are amazing !!! “World domination” is a very punchy album with many refs. at the Eighties but with a "Fatal Smile touch", and all the chorus are very easy to learn. “21th Century Freaks” is more dark, more loud, with a heavy atmosphere… and I love that too !!!
- Have you a favorite song ?
It’s very hard to choose… and It depends of my mood…
When I’m very calm, I love to hear “For the last in line” : it’s a very sad song with a beautiful melody… When I’m in a bad mood, I love to hear“SOB” ; if I want to dance, I listen to “Welcome to the Freakshow”… and I have a special preference for “Stranger”, don’t know why…
- Have you ever seen them in concert and where ?
Never and I’m too impatient to see them live !!!! Probably soon ;-) My fingers are crossed.
- Which other bands do you listen to ?
My favorite kind of metal is glam/sleaze and my favorite bands (except Fatal Smile which is The One ;-) ) are Sister, Kissin’ Dynamite, Motley Crüe and Crashdiet. Sixx AM is a band that I love a lot too and I’ve a specially tenderness for Metallica, Iron Maiden and Helloween, which are the bands of my youth.
- Which are your hobbies ?
I can’t pass a day without listening to music. And I love to draw !! When I have a free moment, I do some portraits of my favorite musicians. And I discovered a few time ago the clothes costumisation : I like to do some news with some olds ;-)

Your music is amazing, but you’re also awesome guys ! I love the fact that you’re so close to your public. Many bands should take example on you…

- Where do you come from ?
I was born and raised in Allentown, PA, USA. I currently live five miles north of Allentown in a small area called Ironton.
- Are old are you ?
Turned 51 this past July 4
- When did you know FATAL SMILE ?
FATAL SMILE was the last band announced for the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise 2013. With all the bands announced who I wasn’t familiar with, I checked them out on YouTube and then made a note whether to see them on board or not. I enjoyed their first set so much that I went back for their second set. And I bought the new CD on board on the ship.
- Which album is your favorite ?
So far, I only know 21st Century Freaks, and a few other songs so can’t give an accurate answer on that.
- Have you a favorite song ?
Hard to choose just one but Hip Motherfucker stands out.
- Have you ever seen them in concert and where ?
I’ve only seen them twice, on the cruise.
- Which other bands do you listen to ?
I listen to a lot of Saxon and Pretty Maids. But I’ve gone through stages with Sweet, Savatage, Dio, Rob Zombie, Judas Priest, Kiss, Angel and many others.
- Which are your hobbies ?
I love music and I love to travel. So when the two come together, it makes for a freakishly awesome time. I’ve gone overseas for Saxon gigs. And I’ve been on all of the 70,000 Tons cruises so far. I also have six cats, so they keep me busy.
- Do you have a special message for FATAL SMILE ?
Yeah – get back on the boat!!! Haha, actually they don’t repeat bands two years in a row so Fatal Smile will have to do a land gig in the US soon. And I’m single and available.
